Quick hits...the Eagles edition

David Akers misses two consecutive 49-yard field-goal attempts. And it was inside. Which way was the air conditioner blowing?

It was very clear that Donovan McNabb had no intention of running for positive yards. He had happy feet, but couldn't seem to get them in a forward gear.

Falcons corner DeAngelo Hall may have earned a Pro Bowl spot in only game. That's what T.O. can do for you.

Whether Jeremiah Trotter should have been thrown out is not the question. He never should have put himself in that position in first place. Just another show in the No-Ring Circus.

And if you want a Trotter medallion for your collection, they are availble today. Good timing, huh?

Looking at Michael Vick's numbers, you would not be intimidated. Watching him on the field is a different story. He commands respect.

The chink in Andy Reid's armor? Opening games. He is 2-5 in the first game of the season since taking over in 1999.

Word is Donovan's chest feels a lot worse today than it did last night.

If I told you the Eagles defense would hold the Falcons to 14 points, you would have thought the Eagles won the game. So, don't blame this one on the defense.

What was in Brian Dawkins intravenous feeding? He came back after the IV and made two huge plays. Maybe Donovan should have tried it.

Was it just me or did it seem like T O wasn'tplaying as hard as he has in the past. running out of bounds, not getting to the low passes, not fighting for position on the field. I just hope this isn't phase two of the T O saga. Thanks great stuff.

Trotter fell for the oldest play in the book. What better way to give your running game a boost than to take the starting middle LB out of the game, and all Atlanta had to sacrifice was a backup CB. You don't suppose the entire pregame confrontation was preplanned by Coach Mora, do you?

So sad .... why does the other team always seem to have the fire and the desire?

McKnabb always looks lost and confused. Tell that boy to take a few lessons from Vick and RUN the ball himself ... what a wasted talent.

Reid cannot call a game if his life depended on it ... and that is a hard thing to say when he is 64-33. BUt I think it is very true.

McNabb is NOT a pocket passes, never was, never will be...if that is what Mr Reid wants, why not trade McNabb for one...otherwise, give Mr Mcnabb his manhood back and let him loose !!!
