T.O. suspended, talks at home

While Terrell Owens is at home shooting baskets, the Eagles have suspended the star receiver for one week after a verbal altercation today with coach Andy Reid.

The Eagles statement:
"Terrell Owens has been sent home from training camp due to undisclosed team issues. He is expected to return to the team on Wednesday, August 17th."

Inquirer reporter Keith Pompey spoke with Owens outside his home.

"If the truth needs to be told, that's what I'll do," said Owens, who was wearing black shorts and a black T shirt, with a camouflaged Atlanta Braves baseball cap on backwards, with head phones on.

"I mean, if he (Reid) wants to be a man about it and really have me go on the air and tell people what happened, then I can.

"But it was a difference of opinion. I think the report is now that I was blowing my fans off. That's not the case. My fans have been great. They have been great.

"When I was out there on the field, I was attending to my business. They are telling me to go out there and perform and go out there and practice.

"I'm not going into further detail about the altercation."

Owens did not practice with the team on Wednesday, instead he worked out on his own with the assistance of an Eagles trainer.
